One thing we take real pleasure in at Budweiser Budvar is looking out for our friends at the premium end of the on trade. That's why we are sponsoring the Publican Morning Advertiser's Top 50 Gastro Pubs programme for the third year running. It's an event that suits us down to the ground and what better synergy could you have than between our lovingly brewed beer and the lovingly prepared food that is at the centre of the whole gastro pub concept?
Just as good food takes time to prepare so does our Budvar with its 100 day brewing cycle, 90 of them spent in secondary fermentation. We take the same pride in sourcing our ingredients . We use only whole Bohemian hops, female and virgin, Moravian malt made only from the fabled lager barley grown in the Hana Valley, spring water from an ice-age lake 300 meters under our brewery and a strain of yeast resident since 1895, when our present brewery started.
We also know a bit about the agony and the ecstasy of running a gastro-pub as we own six of them in the Czech Republic where they have built a formidable reputation with tourists and locals alike for great food and good service , so what better sponsors could the UK's leading Gastro Pub event have?
