The event
The awards will take place at Stoke Place, Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire on Monday 6th February 2012.
Last year's event was presented by the BBC's food and drink presenter Nigel Barden and attended by the chefs and pub owners from the Top 50 list, our special awards finalists as well as members of the Top 50 Gastropubs judging panel. Last year 46 out of the top 50 pubs attended.
The event includes a pre-lunch drinks reception, which features tasting tables of produce from quality suppliers, a three-course lunch, award's presentation and post-lunch drinks and networking.
The Venue
Stoke Place Hotel is only thirty minutes away from the bustle of London and yet enjoys all the benefits of a rural English landscape.
The three storey 'William and Mary' style house was built as a family home in 1690 by Patrick Lamb. Later, east and west wings were added to the building creating a substantial and impressive country house and the infamous talents of Capability Brown turned the surrounding grounds into a quintessential rural idyll.
Stoke Place is a 40 bedroom hotel - offering beautiful weddings, organised conferences and quiet get-aways. Our holistic gym is also now open to guests. Located in what used to be the stables, the gym offers a modern workout space with state of the art equipment in beautiful old surroundings.
